About this video
Hey everyone! I'm currently in Orange County, California, gearing up for a long journey to Africa, and I couldn't be more excited. It’s going to be a wild ride, and I’ll take you along every step of the way, so buckle up!
First stop: Tunis, Tunisia! After a long flight, we made it to the capital, and my friends Adam and Robbie are here to show us around. Robbie’s and Adam are from here but Adam lives in the US now so it’s awesome to get a local’s perspective on this amazing country. Right off the bat, we were greeted by the warm Mediterranean vibes and the beautiful scenery. After getting to know a bit about their history with Tunisia, we set off to the beach house in Bizerte, where we could kick back and relax. We arrived at nearly 2 AM, but hunger is real, so of course, we grabbed a bite to eat.
The next morning, after some much-needed sleep, we woke up to the incredible views around the beach house. This spot is unbelievable, nestled in the heart of Cap Angela — the northernmost point of Africa. We walked along the beach, taking in the beautiful coastal scenery, and eventually made our way to the famous Africa Sign—a landmark here in Tunisia that marks the most northern point of the continent.
From there, we explored the area more, getting a taste of the local life. We met some incredibly friendly locals, like a man on a motorcycle who offered us help and pointed us in the right direction when we were unsure about our next move. The generosity of the people here has been one of the standout highlights so far.
Later, we headed up to Adam and Robbie's beach house. It’s an old but gorgeous house with marble floors, a cozy second-floor living room, and a rooftop terrace with stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea. Adam shared some cool stories about his family, including how his grandmother's house was nearby, and we even got to check out some antiques in the place.
By the afternoon, we were heading back to Menzel Bourguiba—Adam’s hometown, where his mom lives. This is where he grew up and it’s a place full of memories. We stopped by a local market to grab some snacks and we were introduced to the way of life here. The local cats are everywhere, and it’s no surprise that they're an integral part of the street scene. We also got the chance to try some delicious Tunisian food at Adam's mom’s house, and let me tell you, it was AMAZING. If you’re in Tunisia, the food is a must-try!
Later, we ventured out again, walking around Menzel Bourguiba, soaking in the sights and sounds of the town. The peaceful atmosphere here makes it a perfect place to just sit back and watch life unfold around you. It’s incredible how different life is here, and it really makes you appreciate the little things.
We ended the day with a trip to a SIM card shop to make sure I’d have 4G for the rest of my time in Tunisia. But what really stood out was the vibe of the area, and it felt like we were part of the local scene, just a couple of travelers experiencing the magic of Tunisia.
As the sun began to set, we finally returned to the house, got some rest, and got ready to do it all again tomorrow. There's so much more to explore here in Tunisia, and I’m looking forward to checking out Bizerte, getting some more authentic Tunisian food, and just soaking up the culture.
I can’t wait to share more of this adventure with you all, so stay tuned for more videos from Tunisia! Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe so you don’t miss out on any of the amazing places, faces, and adventures that are coming your way!
