Aleema Khan’s Son, Presented In Court After Arrest

Police presented Shahrez Khan, the nephew of jailed former prime minister Imran Khan, in court after arresting him during a late-night raid at his home. The development came hours after reports claimed that Shahrez, who is the son of Aleema Khan, had been ‘abducted’ from their residence. Police said Shahrez was arrested in connection with the May 9 riots that took place two years ago. His family, however, rejected the claim, insisting that he has no involvement in politics or with the protest movements of the embattled Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
