Topic Description:
Building upon the foundational work done with the previous addition modules, this module provides further experiences with concretely adding tens and ones, then connects that proficiency with the more abstract standard algorithm for addition with and without regrouping. Word problems continue to be modeled using bar diagrams.

Learning Targets:
I can draw or build models of numbers between 20 and 50 as a ten and some ones .
I can solve addition expressions and equations to 50.
I can add two 2-digit numbers number using column addition with or without regrouping.
I can model and solve word problems.
