Adding a $900 Shaft to my 7 Wood #golf #golfclub #golfer

Jumping on the 7 wood hype train but reshafting it with a @tptgolf shaft first

The thing with 7 woods is that they are increasing in popularity but they’re still quite hard to find
.
If you’re looking second hand or as a stock option off a shelf then it will likely have a reg or senior shaft in it so knowing how to re shaft one could open up more choices for you to look at

I took this tpt out of a 4 wood that I had it in but left it the same length for the time being as I don’t know if I will be sticking with the 7 or going back to the 4 still yet

There will likely be someone comment on twisting the shaft out of the head with graphite, well normally I wouldn’t advise it but when you know it has a collared ferrule attached and is quite loose like these taylormsde ones tend to be then it is never an issue to twist it off (at least that’s what I have found and I’ve pulled about 30-40 of them)
.
I even have a shaft extractor that is what your meant to use for pulling graphite but it is a lot easier to twist it out and it saves the ferrule this way as well
.
Having said that I would always expect it to break when twisting just to prepare for the worst case scenario so like if I take the tpt back out then I certainly won’t be twisting that and it will be coming out in the shaft extractor
