Goes without saying that K-Pop is one of the world’s key music movements - for the last several years, Korea has been a hotbed of young talent. AB6IX is the first K-Pop group we’ve captured performances with, as well as a perfect example of the genre’s many strengths. The dynamic foursome do it all: they sing, produce their own songs, and serve up choreography that’s pure fire. Last year’s debut EP ‘B: COMPLETE’ put them on the charts immediately, and they’ve kept their career momentum going strong in 2020. When we linked up with Woong, Donghyun, Woojin and Daehwi, they were posted up in a studio just outside Seoul. The squad was celebrating the recent release of ‘VIVID,’ a six-song journey through EDM, hip-hop and breezy pop. “SURREAL (초현실)” might be the catchiest on the EP, and after watching their hypnotizing performance you’ll be humming the hook all day.
