दिल्ली स्थित जवाहरलाल नेहरू विश्वविद्यालय में 26 फरवरी को शिक्षा मंत्रालय तक प्रस्तावित मार्च से पहले ही हालात तनावपूर्ण हो गए. बड़ी संख्या में जुटे छात्रों का लक्ष्य मंत्रालय तक पहुँचकर रोहित एक्ट लागू करने और UGC नियमों के खिलाफ अपना विरोध दर्ज कराना था. मार्च को रोकने के लिए दिल्ली पुलिस, RAF और CRPF की भारी तैनाती की गई.

The situation at Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru University escalated ahead of a planned march to the Ministry of Education on February 26th. The large number of students gathered to register their protest against the implementation of the Rohith Act and UGC regulations. A heavy deployment of the Delhi Police, the RAF, and the CRPF was made to prevent the march.
