At the height of his glory, Marcel Pagnol receives a commission from the editor-in-chief of a major women’s magazine to write a literary serial, in which he can recount his childhood, his Provence, and his first loves. As he writes the first pages, the child he once was, little Marcel, suddenly comes to life. Thus, his memories resurface through the words: the advent of sound cinema, the first major film studio, his affection for the actors, the experience of writing.
