Subaru arrived relatively late to the EV market with the Solterra in 2023, but the brand now appears to be moving more decisively with the all-new 2027 Subaru Getaway. This three-row midsize electric SUV expands Subaru’s lineup in a meaningful way, bringing a more family-oriented and practical shape to its EV efforts. From the front, the Getaway clearly borrows elements of the Solterra’s design language, including a flat-faced nose and distinctive lighting signature, but it also introduces a few details of its own. The upper accent lights give it a more upscale and polished look, with a hint of Porsche-like character in the way they frame the front end. Based on this early preview, the Getaway looks like an important next step for Subaru as it pushes further into the electric SUV space.
