YSL Babycat Review and Monster Unboxing

Babycat by YSL: Review and Unboxing (中文版請下拉） Adorable Vanillic Smokey Leather, that's what this fragrance is all about, and everyone is going crazy over it. Ever since I tried it a few months ago, I've been eagerly waiting to get my hands on a full-size bottle. But no matter where I look, it's always not available. It's a relatively new perfume, yet it's constantly out of stock. Perhaps there are some supply issues, but the simpler explanation is that this fragrance is just incredibly popular, which explains the current hype surrounding it. The first time I tried it on, it reminded me of another sought-after fragrance, Dior Homme Parfum. Both have a soft, elegant leather quality that is absolutely captivating. Babycat is the creation of master perfumer Dominique Ropion, and it’s often compared to Rosendo Mateu No. 5 and Laboratorio Olfattivo Vanagloria. There is indeed a certain level of similarity, but Babycat's composition is even more refined, like a delicate and supple “baby cat”, literally. For me, it's like trading projection for a better sense of closeness and happiness. I often find that if a perfume contains only notes I like, I usually just like it. However, if there are one or two notes that would typically make me furrow my brow, but they are used in just the right amount or balanced well with the other likable dominant notes, it actually makes me love the fragrance even more. Saffron and smoky resin, which are usually scents I steer clear of, are perfectly balanced by the vanilla and suede in Babycat. As a result, while I can't fully embrace Vanagloria and Rosendo Mateu No. 5, which have similar compositions, I can't get enough of Babycat. In summary, Babycat is a fragrance that is powdery, warm ambery, resin-smoky, vanilla-sweet, soft-leathery and even a bit of metallic. The pepper note greets you at the beginning but eventually takes a backseat, as the vanilla and suede steal the show with their dynamic interplay. It's like watching a young tiger play in a pile of soft white suede, occasionally popping its head out, rolling around, and flashing its cute little fangs. It's irresistible and manages to effortlessly steal away a smile. It's a fragrance that's both sophisticated and adorable. By the way, YSL's Le Vestiaire des Parfums (often referred to as YSL privee or exclusive…etc) has several outstanding fragrances. Tuxedo and Rouge Velours are also favorites of mine.
