String theory models and the mathematics of algorithms and complexity

Many theoretical physicists hope that the unification of the four fundamental forces will emerge from string theory. A new international research programme led by Dr Sanjaye Ramgoolam at Queen Mary University of London is employing simple string theoretic quantum models, informed by ideas of duality, as a tool for answering questions at the interface of mathematics and computer science.
