How to Edit Background Music with AUTO DUCK and ENVELOPE in Audacity Chapters:
00:00 Intro
00:22 use envelope tool
00:51 use auto duck effect
To quickly and efficiently edit background music with auto duck and envelope in Audacity, follow these steps. First, add two tracks to your project - one for the narrator and one for the music. Next, use the envelope tool from the toolbar to add four points to the music track. Drag the first and last points down to decrease the volume when the narrator is speaking and increase it when the narrator is not. Another option is to use the auto duck feature for a faster approach. Simply undo the changes, drag the music track above the narrator track, double-click on the music to select it, and go to the effect menu. From there, choose volume and compression and select auto duck. Adjust the fade in and out amount along with the duck amount, then click apply. In just a minute, your background music will be perfectly edited with auto duck and envelope in Audacity.
