Vietnam-era M61 Butt Pack: Compact Military Gear 🇻🇳

The M56 and later M61 were efforts by the United States Military to provide a smaller and more agile combat pack in the field. These basic field packs became an icon of the Vietnam Era and many nylon variations saw utilization in the field during the mid-1990s and even early 2000s. These packs were great for lightweight and agile movement; however, replacements eventually had to be found due to how little equipment these field packs could carry into the field. That said, during their lifetime, these field packs had a few 'alternative' naming conventions such as butt packs, fanny packs, bum packs, and @$$ packs.
