About this video

Yes! She is only legs XD The technique is called Stepped Animation. Here’s how I achieved that look: Graph Editor Method: Open the Graph Editor and add a stepped interpolation modifier to your keyframes. Set the step size to 2 or 3 or 4 depending on your requirement. If you have a lot of channels you can copy the modifier and after selecting all the channels by hitting “A” on top of the channel window and click the paste button in the modifiers panel Output Properties Method: Go to Output Properties then in Frame Range. Set the Steps from 1 to 2, then render out a PNG sequence to capture the stepped effect. This won’t work in the video sequence. Both methods help animate the character and cloth in 2s, giving that hand animated look. This is also used in Spiderverse where, the characters are usually animated in 2s but the cloth is animated at 1s. This is also seen with the background. During fight scenes or fast paced scenes the character is moving at 8 frames but the background is at 12fps.
