Which applications will profit from a quantum computer? | Quantum Summit 2021

We know on a fundamental level that quantum computers can be substantially faster then conventional computers. However the exact nature of the speed-up depends on the algorithm and accordingly the application. In this talk we will discuss briefly three applications that are often mentioned in connection to quantum computing: Optimization, Machine learning and Quantum Simulation. For these three applications we will give an overview about what is actually fundamentally know about a potential for a speed-up.
