Introduction to Cryptography In this class, we will discuss the introduction to cryptography. The reader can study complete computer science. Click Here. This class is our first class on cryptography. We provided a few thoughts in this class to help us understand the next classes. Where cryptography is needed? Example: We want to send a message to our friend or other person. We use any electronic device to open an application and send a message. The message flows on the internet. The message is ” Today is the blast”. The internet is open to all. The attacker or a hacker will stay on the internet and check your messages. We need to send a message which is not understandable to attackers. The above is the situation where cryptography is used. Cryptography: This is a process of hiding the information so that only the person expected to see the message can read it. The two points one should understand. 1) We use a technique or mathematical logic to convert the data. 2) The mathematical logic should be complex enough so attackers can not convert to actual data.
