While it is S-shaped (the literal meaning of "sigmoid") the term is generally used as a synonym for the logistic function. The label is misleading. It should read "hyperbolic tangent". 7:10 - The two connections leading to the bottom most node in the most recently added layer are shown as black when they should be white. This is corrected in 10:10.
