About this video
I will describe how I use discrete linear optimization techniques to perform domino steganography (i.e., hide a secondary image inside a domino mosaic that closely resembles a primary image) and construct lenticular dice mosaics. My talk is a tribute to the great Ken Knowlton, and the first part is related to my gift exchange submission. My G4G14 gift consists of two sheets of transparency plastic. When the sheets are viewed separately, the viewer will notice that one sheet looks like Dracula and contains only vertically oriented dominos, and the other sheet looks like the negative of the Dracula image and contains only horizontally oriented dominos. But when the two sheets are placed one on top of the other (in either order), the viewer will see a domino portrait of Frankenstein's monster made out of 48 complete sets of double-nine dominos.
