Quantum Cryptography Protocols
Abstract:
Quantum Computing has become a promising tool to enhance the current technologies. It has affected many areas such as machine learning, optimization problems, material synthesis, and communication systems. Quantum cryptography is an important science that uses quantum mechanics principles for data encryption and data transmission. In communication systems, bit commitment is the basic building block of many cryptographic protocols, it is considered as a protocol between two distrustful
parties, the committer and the receiver. Bit commitment is widely used in multi-party-based secure computations such as verified secret sharing schemes. It is used in the access control of cloud computing as it preserves the users' privacy and provides a robust hiding access control policy. Furthermore, Quantum Key Distribution is an important aspect of quantum cryptography . It is originally inspired by the physical concepts associated with quantum mechanics. It aims to enable a secure exchange of cryptographic keys between two parties through an unsecured quantum communication channel. The applications of quantum key distribution technology have an important role to enhance the security in communication systems. We will present two cryptographic protocols, a Secured Quantum Two-Bit Commitment Protocol and a Secured Half-Duplex Bidirectional Quantum Key Distribution Protocol for communication systems.
