About this video

An avoidant attachment was usually developed in childhood where their caregivers weren’t responsive. The consistent neglect, made them feel like relationships and people were too unreliable. So they learned to close down and depend only on themselves. They became hyper independent. In adult relationships these insecurities come with them. The moment a relationship feels too close or vulnerable, they get triggered. They usually either pull away, send mixed signals or even leave the relationship. They do this not because they don’t care, but because they’re terrified, uncomfortable and have never learnt how to function in a relationship. So it’s important that in relationships we always lead with compassion as you never know what someone else has gone through. This doesn’t mean you should tolerate or settle for poor behaviour. It just means that everyone is carrying something, once you see it for what it is, you can’t help but feel some compassion. Share this one with someone who needs to hear this 🙏🏻
