Craziest cartoon commercials: (CN entering Nickelodeon, Jimmy Neutron invading a SpongeBob episode and alternating reality)
Starting off we have the Nick @ Nite Commercial where George Lopez can be found lost in Dora The Explorer’s world of Nick Jr. There’s no change in either of their characters here either, Dora is still her kindhearted self eager to help anyone she encounters while George is still Cynical and a bit selfish of his own problem of trying to get to Nick @ Nite. Even going as far as to judging her head size.
Speaking of Nickelodeon - up next we have the promo interruption where Jimmy Neutron invades several SpongeBob episodes and uses a reality swapping invention to change the episode’s aesthetic entirely. The episode’s plots and audios are kept the exact same but everything is temporarily puppeteered before changing back, now that’s how you advertise your show!
Next is the time Sonic ran around like crazy, allegedly to find good insurance, in the Progressive Insurance facility to both Flo and Jamie’s shock before Flo eases his worries. We even get a brief look of the Progressive Commercial in the Sonic artstyle. It’s a shame he doesn’t speak here.
Team Umizoomi, the kind hearted tiny team of Superheroes once greeted the aggressive, foul mouthed and downright mean Gordon Ramsay to help him with assembling Strawberry Shortcake. Even Team Umizoomi knows of the monster this man can be when they not only become anxious of his taste test but also flat out deny working with him in his restaurant. You know you’re intimidating when Team Umizoomi themselves pass on helping you out.
A Ford and Dragon Ball collaborative commercial featured Gohan and Krillin wishing for cars with separate car features all matching the Ford Focus, effectively using all 3 of their wishes. Shenron therefore grants them a Ford Focus before disappearing, let this be a lesson to conserve your wishes.
Finally we have the iconic Cartoon Network invasion commercial that aired on Nickelodeon which featured Cartoon Network’s full catalogue of characters telling you to change the channel to Cartoon Network and watch their program instead Even the characters themselves knew they weren’t supposed to be there - it really makes you wonder how this slipped through Nickelodeon’s cracks.
