About this video

Your first mile should be your easiest mileā€¼ļø Always remember, you’ll have enough adrenaline when you start that you’ll actually feel like you can slow down your first mile and still hit your goal pace. Use this to your advantage and only focus on hitting your goal pace, no matter how easy it feels. Your second mile you will start to feel the fatigue and will need to switch to a higher gear just to maintain your goal pace. If you know this before going in, it will be much easier to adjust when it happens. Your second mile will feel tougher but don’t overdo it - save that for mile 3! Your third and last mile should be your fastest mileā€¼ļø You have to focus here and leave it all out there! This will be your hardest mile but that doesn’t mean it will be ā€œhardā€ - you’ve trained for this and it’s go time. Running a PR is more than just training hard and running fast, you have to plan for your race as well. Be smart in your plan and stick to it on race day - IT’S YOUR TIME TO SHINE! ✨ • • • • #runningtips #5k #5ktraining #racingtips #runfast #runfaster #workouttips #runningforlife #runningmotivation #runningcommunity
