About this video
💻 Did you know? The world’s first programmable electronic computer, called Colossus, was built during World War II to crack secret German codes.
Developed in 1943 at Bletchley Park by engineer Tommy Flowers, Colossus used thousands of glowing vacuum tubes and filled an entire room. Its mission: to break the complex Lorenz cipher used by the German High Command.
Colossus processed information faster than any machine before it, helping Allied cryptanalysts uncover vital intelligence that shortened the war — all in total secrecy.
⚙️ Before the digital age began, Colossus was already rewriting history.
