अप्रैल 2026 शुरू हो चुका है, लेकिन केंद्र सरकार के लाखों कर्मचारियों और पेंशनर्स को महंगाई भत्ते (DA) के ऐलान का इंतजार अब भी है। हर साल होली के आसपास होने वाली घोषणा इस बार लेट हो गई है, जिससे कर्मचारियों में चिंता बढ़ी है। हालांकि एक्सपर्ट्स का कहना है कि DA बढ़ोतरी तय है और इसमें देरी सिर्फ प्रशासनिक और नीतिगत कारणों से हो रही है। AICPI आंकड़ों के आधार पर इस बार करीब 2% बढ़ोतरी का अनुमान है, जिससे DA 58% से बढ़कर 60% तक पहुंच सकता है। देरी की बड़ी वजह 8वें वेतन आयोग की तैयारी, फाइल अप्रूवल और वित्तीय संतुलन को माना जा रहा है। अच्छी बात यह है कि कर्मचारियों को किसी तरह का नुकसान नहीं होगा, क्योंकि DA 1 जनवरी 2026 से लागू होगा और एरियर भी मिलेगा। रिपोर्ट्स के मुताबिक, अप्रैल के दूसरे हफ्ते या मिड-अप्रैल तक सरकार इसका ऐलान कर सकती है।

April 2026 has begun, but millions of central government employees and pensioners are still waiting for the Dearness Allowance (DA) announcement. Unlike previous years when it was declared around Holi, this time there has been a delay, causing concern among employees. However, experts believe that the DA hike and the delay is due to administrative and policy-related factors. Based on AICPI data, a 2% increase is expected, which may raise DA from 58% to around 60%. The delay is mainly attributed to the transition toward the 8th Pay Commission, along with approval processes and fiscal considerations. The good news is that employees will not face any loss, as the DA will be start from January 1, 2026, and arrears will be paid. Reports suggest that the announcement could be made anytime between the second week and mid-April.
