In Defence of Barriers: Look Behind the Barrier and you will see a reservoir of pristine opportunity. The CEO and Co-Founder of Canopy Growth, a leading Canadian medical marijuana provider, feels a bit like the Lorax speaking for the trees when he speaks in defence of barriers. Bruce Linton looks at perceived barriers such as marijuana prohibition and how they really create massive pooled entrepreneurial opportunity preserved for generations. Once these barriers begin to come down, the potential to create new markets and supply chains can be huge. As CEO of Martello Technologies, Bruce oversees corporate strategy, attracts investment capital and drives a successful M&A program. He has extensive experience as a founder, CEO, and Board member across a wide variety of enterprises, including his role as co-founder and Chairman of Tweed. Under his leadership, Martello has seen three-year revenue growth of more than 600% and garnered recognition as Ottawa’s Fastest Growing Company 2015. He began his career at Newbridge Networks Corporation and he has since held positions that include General Manager and Re-Founder of Computerland.ca, President and Co-Founder of webHancer Corp, and part of the establishing team at CrossKeys Systems Corporation.
