An introduction to the lambda calculus and related concepts from functional programming. Taught at PyCon 2019, Cleveland, Ohio. This tutorial assumes no prior knowledge of lambda calculus and steps participants through the derivation of various concepts including boolean logic, Church numerals, arithmetic, data structures, recursion, and the Y-combinator.
