My tips for getting a data scientist job in 2020 are as follows:

1) Apply to FEWER jobs - do less, better
2) Have a portfolio (e.g. Github)
3) Know the right stuff for the job, and be honest about what you do and don't know
4) Use the storyboard technique in the interview - when talking about past projects, describe the premise, problem, solution, and outcome
5) Don't be a robot! Build a relationship with the people interviewing you!
