MEA Assists Celina Jaitley's Brother Detained in UAE 🇦🇪

The government is actively assisting Major (Retd.) Vikrant Kumar Jaitly, brother of actress Celina Jaitly, who has been detained in the UAE for over a year, MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal confirmed. “We are in touch with UAE authorities and have conducted four consular visits,” he said, adding that the MEA is closely coordinating with Vikrant’s family and offering all possible support following Delhi High Court directions on November 3. Major Vikrant, living in the UAE since 2016 in a trading and risk-management firm, was reportedly taken into custody on September 6, 2024. Communication with him has been minimal since. The court has directed the government to ensure robust legal representation and appoint a nodal officer to liaise with authorities. The next hearing is on December 4, 2025.
