BREAKING WORLD WAR TWO ENIGMA CODE | Alan Turing and the Imitation Game at Bletchley Park

The Enigma machine was a cypher device used by Germany during World War II to encrypt military communications. However, the seemingly unbreakable Enigma code was eventually cracked by a team of British codebreakers at Bletchley Park, led by mathematician Alan Turing. Turing designed the Bombe, an early electromechanical machine that successfully broke the Enigma code, a feat that was instrumental in shortening WW2. Turing's work on the Enigma machine is considered a precursor to modern computers, revolutionising the field of cryptography and computing. His efforts are portrayed in the film The Imitation Game. ✍️ ABOUT STEVE LEE I've been a storyteller all my life with a deep love of history.
