Follow along to Scott Viala's upper body strength day. In this 35-minute upper body workout, Scott only uses macebells, ranging from 10-30LBS, and the workout is absolutely killer. This workout is designed to build muscle, strength and endurance for your entire upper body, as well as core strength & stability.
One of the best things about following along to Scott's workout is that he teaches you how to do each exercise with great form. By doing his mace workouts, you will quickly improve your steel mace skills and you will understand how to make each movement as effective as possible.
This 35-Minute Upper Body Strength & Conditioning Workout consists of 5 exercises:
- Single Arm 360
- Rotate | Punch | Curl
- Single Arm Renegade Row
- 360
- One Handed 360 to Half Swing to Archer Press
WORKOUT STRUCTURE:
1. 4 sets of single arm 360s x 20 reps to each side (if you have a range of maces, move up in weight each set)
2. 360 x 20 reps each side (use your heaviest mace)
3. CIRCUIT x 3 Rounds
a) Rotate | Punch | Curl x 10 reps each side
b) Single Arm Renegade Row x 10 reps each side
c) 360 x 20 reps each side
- Rest between each exercise
- Do one set for each exercise then move to the next exercise, do this for 3 rounds.
4. 3 sets of One Handed 360 to Half Swing to Archer Press x 10 reps each side
NOTE: If you only have one, two or however many maces, that's fine, just adjust accordingly. The workout will still be effective!
