If you've ever sat down to start a presentation and stared at a blank slide, unsure where to begin, you're not alone. That’s why I wanted to test how tools like AI PowerPoint features and third-party AI integrations can actually help speed up the process and improve the overall quality of your slides.

I walk through my real experience trying to create an AI PowerPoint presentation from scratch using Microsoft’s built-in PowerPoint AI generator (also known as CoPilot). While some of the features are promising, others didn’t work as expected—and I explain what happened and what I did instead. For example, uploading a file directly into CoPilot didn't work for me, but I was able to use tools like ChatGPT to generate content and then refine it manually. This video isn’t just a tutorial—it’s a reflection on what’s working right now and where the limitations still are.

I also compare different tools and methods, like using AI and PowerPoint together with platforms such as Gamma, and share a few personal shortcuts I use when I want my slides to look polished without spending hours designing them. If you’re an academic or student presenting research data, these tools can help get you to a “good enough” draft much faster—especially for internal meetings or quick updates.

I also demonstrate features like Designer and Rehearse with Coach inside PowerPoint, which are often overlooked but offer powerful feedback and design suggestions when used properly. My goal here isn’t to hype up AI PowerPoint tools as a magic solution, but to honestly show what you can do with them, where they fall short, and how to use them alongside your own thinking.
