About this video
2026 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Limited POV night drive, highway drive, launch control, 0-60 acceleration, exhaust sound, review.
The long awaited 6th generation Toyota RAV4 is here and itβs all new!
Well, kind of. While the exterior and interior design is completely different, the underpinnings remained the same. The RAV4 still sits on the TNGA-K platform and uses strut front suspension + multilink setup in the rear.
All powertrains in the new RAV4 are electrified - we have hybrid and plug in hybrid variants. The base is always the same - a 2.5L naturally aspirated 4-cylinder, which on its own makes 183 horsepower.
The standard hybrid comes as a 226 hp FWD model, or a 236 hp AWD, which features an e-AWD system (no physical driveshaft, rear axle is powered by an electric motor).
The PHEV makes 324 hp and can do up to 52 miles in fully electric mode. In all cases power goes down via an e-CVT, all models take regular gas.
With the new RAV4 Toyota introduced 3 styles:
- Core (LE, XLE, Limited) starting at $31,900
- Sport (SE, XSE, GR SPORT) starting at $34,700
- Rugged (Woodland) starting at $39,900
The PHEV is only available as a Sport or Rugged, costing extra $6,000-7,000.
Other cars to consider are a Honda CR V, Toyota Corolla Cross, Toyota Highlander, Mazda CX 5, Mazda CX 50, Subaru Forester, Lexus NX, Subaru Outback, Nissan Rouge, Hyundai Tucson.
