2025 Jeep Gladiator Sport S Review 🚙

The Jeep Gladiator is back for 2025, after most of its major changes hit in 2024. For the new model year, the Wrangler truck gains a few new colors in Mojito! (green), Fathom Blue, '41 (military olive), and Joose (orange). Power locks and windows are now standard, even on the base Sport trim. And the V6 with an 8-speed automatic transmission is your only powertrain option. Pour one out for the manual transmission. There should be a 4xe coming, and there have been rumblings of a 392 HEMI V8, but nothing has officially shown its face as of yet.

The 3.6L Pentastar V6 is naturally-aspirated--one of the few left in the midsize truck segment--and it makes 285-hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. A Command-Trac part-time 4WD is standard on my Sport S tester, but there are other 4x4 systems available in other trims.

Standard towing capacity is 6,000 lbs, but the max tow pack will push that to 7,700 lbs. And payload capacity is 1,725 lbs. Not too shabby. And a crew cab and a 5-foot bed are the only way to get a Gladiator.

The Sport S is the sweet spot for daily driving, with extra convenience features and a road-tuned suspension, while still maintaining a bit of off-road prowess. But where the Gladiator shines is in its ability to shed doors and the roof, as it's the only truck that can do so. And man, is it an experience everyone should have a chance at.
