About this video
2025 Genesis G90 review! In this video, I'll talk about what the G90 is, how I feel about the interior space, and what it's like to drive it!
If you're shopping for a full-size luxury sedan, you're probably thinking Mercedes S-Class or BMW 7-Series without giving Genesis a second thought. And it makes sense. BMW and Mercedes have been the ultimate status symbols and segment leaders for decades. Even rivals like the Audi A8 and Lexus LS struggle to match their sales numbers.
But here's the thing - if brand perception doesn't matter to you and you're after a car that delivers comparable luxury, comfort, and high-end features at a more approachable price, the Genesis G90 deserves a serious look.
The second generation of Genesis' flagship sedan debuted in 2021 and comes in 2 trims or rather with 2 engine options:
- 375 hp twin-turbo V6, starting at around $90,000
- 409 hp mild-hybrid which uses the same engine, but has an e-supercharger added for $100,000
Both units are paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission and both use a rear-biased AWD system.
Chassis-wise we get a multi-link suspension front and back, combined with adaptive dampers, which besides the ability to go stiffer or softer, can prepare the chassis for impacts ahead of you, using a GPS and a camera. The mild hybrid model also gets an air suspension for extra comfort, as well as rear wheel steering, which not only makes the car easier to maneuver, but also helps with driving dynamics.
Other cars to consider are a Mercedes S class, BMW 7 series, Lexus LS 500, Audi A8, Kia K900, Lincoln Continental, Genesis G80.
