2023 Lexus RX Hybrid Review: Which Model Suits You? 🚗

Lexus RX is credited with starting the luxury crossover trend. In production since the late 1990s this SUV started life in Japan as the Toyota Harrier. Lexus needed a model between the LX off-roader, and the LS luxury sedan. The RX proved to be a hit, and soon other carmakers started launching competing models.

In its fifth generation the Lexus RX comes as a 350h (a regular hybrid with a 2.5L engine), 450h+ (a plug-in hybrid), and 500h (a hybrid with a turbocharged 2.4L engine, and a 6-speed automatic instead of the usual e-CVT). In some markets there is also a Lexus RX 350 (non-hybrid, but with the turbocharged 2.4L engine).

The fifth gen Lexus RX is almost the same size, as the fourth gen model. The only significant difference is 6 cm longer wheelbase, as well as wider track - 1.5 cm in the front, and 5 cm in the rear.
