About this video
For our latest unboxing review we bring you the all-new 2017 Genesis G90. What is Genesis, exactly? It's Hyundai's new luxury sub-brand that's currently comprised of just two models: the G90 and smaller G80. Basically, Hyundai turned the Genesis into its own brand because some potential luxury buyers didn't want to have a 'Hyundai' badge on their big sedans, which does make some sense. And like the now discontinued Genesis and Equus (which the G90 directly replaces), there's an awful lot of luxury value to be found here.
Let's just call the G90 "affordable luxury," and that's a good thing. For starters, the base G90, powered by a twin-turbo 3.3-liter V6 with 365 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque, begins at just $68,100. Just to give you an idea here, the G90 is even bigger than a Mercedes-Benz S-Class - which starts at $98,000. RWD is standard while AWD is a $2,500 option. Other standard features include a leather-wrapped dash and door trim and genuine wood interior. There's also a nice 12.3-inch HD Nav system, heads-up display, 22-way power driver's seat with power lumbar, and tri-zone automatic climate control. Even if one were to opt for the optional V8 model with AWD, the maximum G90 price tag is only $73,150. Enjoy the review!
