About this video
Network security is a foundational topic for the CISSP (Certified Information System Security Professional), and other cybersecurity certifications. Lots to memorize in this domain, and Thor Peterson’s bootcamp from Udemy, say that the OSI model in particular, the Open Systems Interconnection model, is something you need to memorize, stone cold.
Thor’s course has an excellent summary handout for this, with the most important elements laid out in a hybrid table/diagram with boxes and arrows. And when you show up to a Pearsonview test centre on exam day, and get a legal paper sized whiteboard this is a great thing to jot down on it as a reference before you start answering exam questions.
In this video I draw out that reference model, adding 5 bonus protocols that aren't in the original but are worth memorizing. I then walk through it.
