17 Seventeen Prison Officers Remain on Sick Leave Following Incident at Port of Spain Prison

A senior source at the Prisons Service has informed TV6 News, that the death of a prisoner who was hospitalised following a brawl at the Port of Spain prison, may in fact not be as a result of any injury sustained in the incident, but rather, an underlying illness.<br />TV6 reached out to Prisons Commissioner Deopersad Ramoutar for further information, however the Commissioner noted that the matter is under active police investigation.
