About this video
Here are 3 more recommendations from
my list of the top things to do in Kyoto, Japan!
7) Saganao Bamboo Forest - located in the lovely town of
Arashiyama in the northwest of kyoto, this bamboo forest is the
most iconic and arguably the most beautiful bamboo forest in
all of Japan la however, it is very touristy and it will be
extremely busy during the afternoon and the weekend
8) Explore Arashiyama - the town of Arashiyama has so much
more to offer than just the bamboo forest. There is a beautiful
iconic wooden bridge, lots of delicious street food, and
temples all over. My favorite hidden gem here is a matcha shop
called "Kakuda Kouseien"
9) Arashiyama Randen Station - this tram station doesn't
sound like much at first, but it has so many cool things. There
are live performances outside the station where people play
traditional Japanese instruments. There is an art piece called
"Kimono Forest" which lights up beautifully at night. And best
of all, they have a foot onsen where you can soak your aching
feet after a day of exploring.
