Cayetano defends Villanueva against flood control anomalies

Senate Minority Leader Alan Peter Cayetano defends Sen. Joel Villanueva at the celebration of Jesus Is Lord Church's 47th anniversary at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila on Oct. 18, 2025. Villanueva reiterated to members of the congregation that he was not involved in anomalous flood control projects in the province of Bulacan, calling his alleged link a 'setup.' Villanueva was implicated by former Public Works district engineer Henry Alcantara as having received kickbacks from flood control projects.
