Indore Shooting Academy Coach Arrested for Sexual Harassment 🚨

A shocking case of sexual harassment has emerged from Indore’s Dream Olympic Shooting Academy, where coach Mohsin Khan has been accused of molesting a female student. The incident has triggered outrage across the city.

The victim, a resident of Malharganj, alleged that on November 8, 2023, Khan inappropriately touched her during practice under the pretext of adjusting her rifle. When she resisted, he allegedly threatened to ruin her career. The student, who had been training at the academy since 2021, filed a police complaint with her brother after disclosing the incident to her family.

According to ACP Shivendu Joshi, a case has been registered under relevant sections of the POCSO Act and IPC. The accused is in custody, and further investigation is underway, including efforts to identify other potential victims.

Bajrang Dal claimed this was part of a larger conspiracy targeting Hindu girls. The organization alleged that over 150 such cases involving the accused have surfaced based on recovered phone data, including videos and messages. They have called for a probe into all affiliated academies and the coach’s family members, two of whom are also coaches.

The incident has prompted demands for stricter regulations and background checks for coaches in sports academies. Social groups and parents are calling for regular inspections, behavioral evaluations, and systemic safeguards to protect students.
