Mock drills are being conducted across the country in the wake of the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed the lives of 26 civilians.
The Ministry of Home Affairs on May 5 had instructed the northern and western states along with Union territories to conduct civil defence mock drills on May 7.
A total of 244 civil districts are taking part in the mock drill, as per the reports.
In the early hours today, May 7, India launched Operation Sindoor, allegedly targeting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
