Kok on halal certification issue: Remarks just for govt to reconsider proposal

After having her statement recorded by the police on Tuesday (Sept 10), Seputeh MP Teresa Kok told reporters that her remarks on the proposed halal certification were specifically addressing the nature of the proposal.

“I did not question halal certification, Jakim’s role, or disrespect Islam,” she said.
