DOE identifies PMAA as cause of pollution that disrupted water supply in Selangor

Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Minister Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad said the pollutant that caused disruption of water supply in several districts in Selangor over the past two days was identified as poly-methacrylic acid (PMAA).

He said the chemical substance was leaked from storage tanks located at a business premises in Kuang that produce acrylic products.
