In this sequel to Father of the Bride, newly married Kay Dunstan announces that she and her husband are going to have a baby, leaving her father having to come to grips with the fact that he will soon be a granddad.

Fortsetzung zu “Vater der Braut”. Die Aufregungen von Tochter Kays Hochzeit hinter sich, wird Vater Stanley Banks schnell wieder aus dem Lehnstuhl gerüttelt, als Kay, die ihr Baby erwartet, aus den Flitterwochen flieht und sich Ehekrisen anbahnen, die im Gespräch von Mann zu Mann gelöst werden. Musste sich Stanley erst damit abfinden, eine Tochter zu verlieren, so gewöhnt er sich jetzt daran, einen Enkel zu haben. Als er den beim Spaziergang im Park verliert, gibt es kurzfristige Aufregung. Aber das Baby wird auf seinen Namen getauft.
