Cases of cytomegalo virus (CMV) infection are now coming to the fore in patients who have recovered from corona. The doctors of Ganga Ram Hospital have treated five patients suffering from this virus. He claims that such cases have been seen for the first time in the country. The reason for this is the weakening of the body's immunity due to corona and the use of steroid drugs during the treatment of corona. Out of these five patients, one patient died due to excessive bleeding from the rectum, while three patients have been cured. A patient has been operated upon, who has been hospitalized for three weeks. chairman of the hospital's gastrology department, said that these five patients, aged between 30 and 70 years, had come for the treatment of bleeding in the stool and stomach pain. He started having this problem between 10 to 30 days after recovering from Corona. He told that the cytomegalo virus is present in the intestine of about 80 percent of the people, but the body's immunity does not allow that virus to become active. Therefore, people who have better immunity, do not get infected with it.

कोरोना से ठीक हुए मरीजों में अब साइटोमेगालो वायरस (सीएमवी) के संक्रमण के मामले सामने आने लगे हैं। गंगाराम अस्पताल के डाक्टरों ने इस वायरस से पीड़ित पांच मरीजों का इलाज किया है। उनका दावा है कि देश में पहली बार इस तरह के मामले देखे गए हैं। इसका कारण कोरोना की वजह से शरीर की प्रतिरोधक क्षमता कमजोर होना व कोरोना के इलाज के दौरान स्टेरायड दवाओं का इस्तेमाल है। इन पांच में से एक मरीज के रेक्टम (मलाशय) से अत्यधिक रक्तस्नाव होने के कारण मौत हो गई, जबकि तीन मरीज ठीक हो चुके हैं। एक मरीज की सर्जरी की गई है, जो तीन सप्ताह से अस्पताल में भर्ती है। अस्पताल के गैस्ट्रोलाजी विभाग के चेयरमैन डॉ. अनिल अरोड़ा ने बताया कि 30 से 70 वर्ष के बीच के ये पांच मरीज मल में रक्तस्नाव व पेट दर्द की परेशानी के इलाज के लिए पहुंचे थे। कोरोना से ठीक होने के 10 से 30 दिनों के बीच उन्हें यह दिक्कत शुरू हुई थी। उन्होंने बताया कि साइटोमेगालो वायरस करीब 80 फीसद लोगों की आंत में मौजूद होता है, लेकिन शरीर की प्रतिरोधक क्षमता उस वायरस को सक्रिय नहीं होने देती। इसलिए जिन लोगों की रोग प्रतिरोधक क्षमता बेहतर होती है, उनमें इसका संक्रमण नहीं होता है।
