Celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2016 the McLobster, a popular McDonald's menu item in the Maritimes, might be one that many outside of the area have never heard of. The McLobster is McDonald's twist on the traditional lobster roll sandwich popular in the Maritimes that is made up of 100% Atlantic lobster meat, diced celery, a light creamy mayonnaise style sauce, leaf lettuce, and warm drizzled butter, on a soft, warmly toasted, chive and sesame seed topped bun.
