We go over key levels of support and resistance and create an actionable game plan for the week of February 7th 2022. In the S&P500, the buyers have started to make a move towards the resistance trend line but the question to be asking right now is, was it a bull trap? Are the sellers going to take us back lower, underneath the balance highs, and continue the down trend? So far the clues would point to no. For now we are watching for higher lows to develop and then the potential for continuation on a break of the resistance trend line. Dont write off the possibility of a sideways market for a few months. In the QQQ and Nasdaq we see continued relative weakness, easily shown in the fib re-tracements. This one looks more like a possible bull trap, noting that we have two day lows aligning perfectly with the top of the prior balance. The line in the sand has to be 354. Anything underneath and we have look above and fail, likely taking us to 341 area and continuing the down trend. IWM and the small cap stocks are still screaming risk off. Nothing about the chart looks bullish, and its showing the most relative weakness. The monthly looks horrible. The weekly looks horrible.
