With Final Destination Bloodlines out now, I figured it was time for a rewatch of the previous 5 movies! Derick has randomly only seen the third movie and knows nothing else, and while he is a big horror fan he did reveal to me that he is averse to gore. I assured him this would not be an issue. đ

PLOT (via Wiki & ChatGPT)
High school student Alex Browning (Devon Sawa) has a terrifying premonition that his plane to Paris will explode, and after panicking, he and several classmates are removed from the flightâwhich then explodes just as he foresaw. Though initially dismissed as a coincidence, the survivors begin dying in bizarre accidents, leading Alex and fellow survivor Clear Rivers (Ali Larter) to realize theyâve cheated Death, who is now reclaiming them in the order they would have died. Despite Alex's efforts to intervene, death continues its pursuit. Months later in Paris, Alex, Clear, and Carter (Kerr Smith) celebrate their survival, but another ominous accident suggests Deathâs plan is still unfolding.
A year after the Flight 180 explosion, college student Kimberly Corman (A.J. Cook) has a premonition of a deadly highway pile-up (including an infamous log truck) and prevents several people from entering the roadâonly to witness the crash moments later. When the survivors begin dying in strange accidents, Kimberly seeks help from Clear Rivers, who explains that Death is now working in reverse order.
After high school student Wendy Christensen (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) has a premonition of a deadly rollercoaster accident at an amusement park, she prevents several classmatesâincluding Kevin Fischer (Ryan Merriman), Ashley Freund (Chelan Simmons), Ian McKinley (Kris Lemche), Ashlyn (Crystal Lowe), Frankie (Sam Easton), Lewis (Texas Battle), and Erin (Alexz Johnson)âfrom boarding, though her boyfriend Jason (Jesse Moss) and best friend Carrie (Gina Holden) die in the crash. When the survivors begin dying in the order they would have on the ride, Wendy and Kevin (Ryan Merriman) realize Death is targeting them, with clues hidden in photos Wendy took that night.
College student Nick OâBannon (Bobby Campo) has a premonition of a horrific accident at the McKinley Speedway, where debris from a crash kills dozens of spectators. His panic prompts him and several othersâincluding his girlfriend Lori (Shantel VanSanten), friends Hunt (Nick Zano) and Janet (Haley Webb), and strangers like Carter (Justin Welborn), Samantha (Krista Allen), Andy (Andrew Fiscella), and George (Mykelti Williamson)âto leave just before the disaster occurs. As survivors begin dying in bizarre accidents mirroring their intended fates, Nick realizes Death is targeting them in order.
Sam Lawton (Nicholas D'Agosto) has a premonition of a deadly bridge collapse and manages to save himself, his ex-girlfriend Molly (Emma Bell), and several coworkers moments before it occurs. As survivors begin dying in gruesome accidents, coroner William Bludworth (Tony Todd) reveals that Death is reclaiming those who escaped, unless they kill someone to inherit their remaining lifespan. While Olivia (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), Candice (Ellen Wroe), Isaac (P.J. Byrne), and Dennis (David Koechner) die in turn, Nathan (Arlen Escarpeta) accidentally kills a coworkerâpossibly saving himselfâand Peter (Miles Fisher) becomes unhinged, trying to murder Molly to survive. Sam kills Peter in self-defense, seemingly escaping Death. However, weeks later, Sam and Molly unknowingly board VolĂ©e Airlines Flight 180âtying the film to the original Final Destinationâwhere they die in the planeâs explosion.
