Our pitching, which included starter Kevin Gausman, carried the load until the 7th inning, where both Addison Barger and Isiah Kiner-Falefa reached base. After a key bunt by Andrés Giménez, it set the stage for George Springer to do what he's made a career off doing in the playoffs: hitting home runs. With one swing of the bat, he made a 3-1 deficit a 4-3 lead. Chris Bassitt and then Jeff Hoffman both pitched clean innings to send the Blue Jays to their first World Series since 1993. Vladimir Guerrero Jr., the face of our franchise, earned ALCS MVP honours.
