About this video

The Northern Expedition ended in late 1928, but almost immediately, another brief civil war broke out between the former allies. It was followed by a near decade of relative stability and some economic and social progress, but internal division, political infighting, and foreign (mainly Japanese) aggression made it very difficult to achieve real success.
